Jennifer Lawrence is licensed in the State of Michigan as well as the Eastern and Western Federal District Courts in the State of Michigan. Jennifer has been practicing family law exclusively for most of her career and has also represented clients in misdemeanor criminal defense cases, civil litigation, and domestic partnership agreements.
Prior to obtaining her law degree Jennifer obtained a Degree in Business Technology with a focus on Paralegal studies and worked as a corporate paralegal.
Jennifer has also worked in various capacities within the court system including working as a clerk in the District Court prior to college.
Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jennifer offers diverse knowledge of local courts with a focus on explaining the legal process and procedures of every issue, and offers specialty services such as collaborative divorce, parenting coordination and alternative dispute resolution for family law cases and other disputes. When necessary, Jennifer can utilize her wide network of local professional associations to offer referrals for financial planning professionals, tax professionals, mental health professionals and other support for clients who need additional help throughout their case.
Jennifer has served on the Washtenaw County Bar Association Board of Directors and is a past-president of the Women Lawyer’s Association of Michigan Washtenaw Chapter.
Jennifer enjoys helping families find smart resolutions and doesn’t shy away from tough cases. In addition to practicing law, serving on professional boards and being a contributor the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Jennifer enjoys exploring the many local parks in Washtenaw County with her family and frequenting local businesses, public libraries and other local offerings in Ann Arbor.
